The Information Systems in the Built Environment research group at Eindhoven University of Technology carries out research and education in the field of information systems used for design, engineering, construction and management of the built environment.
The group has a strong track record in research related to BIM, semantic web technologies and neuro-symbolic AI for the AEC industry, and participates in international projects related to such topics. In particular, TU/e is part of the Eureka ITEA4 FireBIM project, aiming to harmonize and digitize fire codes across multiple European countries.
